Building Welcoming and Inclusive
Neighbourhoods Project at Collingwood
Neigbourhood House
Overview of Plan: Through workshops focused on diversity, food security, leadership development and intercultural inclusion Collingwood Neighbourhood House (CNH) seeks to strengthen relationships with newcomers in the Renfrew Collingwood Community. The area of focus includes initiatives such as community gardens and community kitchens, where newcomers strengthen their skills, assets and relationships with others in the community.
The Building Welcoming and Inclusive Neighbourhoods (BWIN) project is a 3 year initiative funded by the Province of British Columbia that explores the role of
Neighbourhood Houses in building community capacity by encouraging
inclusion and building on B.C.’s cultural diversity.
