Fall workshop schedule

Summer is (as always) our busiest time of year.  Community Gardens, orchard, rooftop garden in full swing, harvest donations coming in from local gardeners, and a host of food skills workshops.  New this year was a mini internship for rooftop gardeners, and we are again hosting the Farmers Market Nutrition Coupon Program.  and have many new families participating as a result.

Some of our food skills workshops have included fruit drying, fish canning, jam, pickles, and salsa, as well as healthy eating on a budget. We've also had permaculture workshops and balcony/container gardening workshop at the Renfrew Branch Library.

The Cheyenne Community Gardeners successfully applied for a Neighbourhood Small Grant and were able to buy supplies to paint the raised beds for a beautiful splash of colour in an already vibrant growing space.

Please note that the October Community Kitchen has been cancelled!  This year it would fall on Hallowe'en and we were quite sure no one would be interested in attending.
